WECARE

TO GROW AS INDIVIDUALS AND AS A CHURCH!

NEVER BELIEVE THAT A FEW CARING PEOPLE CAN’T CHANGE THE WORLD. FOR, INDEED, THAT’S ALL WHO EVER HAVE.
Margaret Mead

WHAT IS THE WECARE INITIATIVE?

WeCare is an invitation to re-think what we want to be as a Church in the 21th century and especially in a time like this. The Initiative will offer opportunities for training, reflection and reshaping of our Church life and Church presence within the communities.

Jesus example of ministry including healing & caring is key in today’s Europe, where suffering is abounding. Learning from Jesus to care and caring for one another in the churches will help to improve our members’ well-being, spiritual walk and competences for outreach. Being more educated about people’s real needs will make us more relevant.

Our churches can contribute to lessen suffering and rekindle hope.

Our churches can become a caring place for all.

WHY "CARING IN TIME OF CRISIS"?

  1. Because Europe, as the rest of the world, has been shaken by the current pandemic and mitigation measures.
  2. Because this crisis has increased the levels of psychological distress and social isolation of individuals.
  3. Because we are living in a rapidly changing environment that is destabilizing for many.
  4. Because compassion & hope are needed. Now.
